Tracking Your Application

Overview

After you submit a staff application, you can check on its progress at any time. You'll also receive email notifications whenever your application status changes.

Viewing Your Applications

  1. Go to My Applications
  2. You'll see a list of all applications you've submitted, with the position name, department, current status, and the date you applied
  3. Click on any application to see its full details

Understanding Application Statuses

Your application moves through a series of stages as the review team works through it:

Status What It Means
Submitted Your application has been received and is waiting for review
Under Review A staff reviewer has started looking at your application
Interview You've been selected for an interview -- check your discussions
Background Check Your application has moved to the background check stage
Approved Congratulations -- your application was accepted!
Denied Your application wasn't accepted this time
Withdrawn You chose to withdraw your application

You'll receive an email at each of these stages so you're never left guessing.

If You're Selected for an Interview

When your application moves to the Interview stage, a discussion thread is created for you to communicate with the review team. You'll find a link to this discussion on your application detail page.

Check your discussions regularly during this stage -- the review team may have questions for you or want to schedule a conversation.

Withdrawing Your Application

Changed your mind? You can withdraw your application at any point before a final decision is made.

  1. Go to My Applications
  2. Click on the application you want to withdraw
  3. Click Withdraw Application at the bottom of the page
  4. Confirm your decision

Once withdrawn, the application is final and can't be reopened. If you change your mind later, you'll need to submit a new application.

After Approval

If your application is approved, you'll see the approval details on your application page, including any conditions (such as a trial period). You'll also be automatically assigned to the staff position -- welcome to the team!

If Your Application Is Denied

It's okay to be disappointed, but don't let it discourage you. The review team considers many factors, and a denial now doesn't mean you can't apply again in the future. Take some time, stay active in the community, and consider applying again when a position opens up.
