About the Policy Manual

What Is the Policy Manual?

The Policy Manual is the official collection of rules and standards that govern the Lighthouse community. It covers everything from day-to-day behavior expectations to how moderation decisions are made.

All of the policies apply to every member -- whether you've been here for years or just joined today. They're written to be clear and fair, so you always know what to expect.

Anyone Can Read It

You don't need an account or even to be logged in to read the Policy Manual. It's fully public so that prospective members, parents, and anyone curious about how Lighthouse operates can review it freely.

You can find the Policy Manual in our library at Policy Manual.

What's in the Manual?

The Policy Manual is organized into four parts:

  • Community Standards -- The Code of Conduct and the expectations all members are held to. Start here if you want to understand what behavior is and isn't acceptable.
  • Safety & Privacy -- How Lighthouse protects minors and handles member data. Important reading for parents.
  • Moderation -- How moderation decisions are made and how the discipline system works.
  • Staff & Operations -- The standards staff are held to and how the community is run.

Each section is clearly labeled, so you can jump straight to the topic you care about.

Last Updated Dates

Each policy page shows a last updated date beneath the page title. This tells you when the policy was most recently revised. If you want to stay informed about policy changes, you can bookmark specific pages and check back periodically.

Questions About the Policies?

If something in the policies is unclear or you have a question about how a policy applies to your situation, the best place to ask is through a support ticket. Staff are happy to help clarify.
