If you have a linked Discord account, you can choose to receive certain Lighthouse notifications as Discord direct messages. This is a convenient way to stay in the loop without needing to check your email.
If you don't have a linked Discord account, the Discord DM toggle will be disabled.
You can choose to receive Discord DMs for:
| Type | What You'll Get |
|---|---|
| Ticket Updates | Replies and status changes on your support tickets |
| Account Updates | Promotions and other changes to your account |
| Announcements | New community announcements |
Each type can be toggled independently, so you can pick exactly which ones you want as Discord messages.
When something happens that triggers a notification, the system checks your preferences. If you have Discord DMs enabled for that type, it sends you a direct message through the Lighthouse bot. The message includes a brief description of what happened and a link back to the website for more details.
Discord notifications work alongside your other notification channels -- you can have email and Discord DMs enabled at the same time, or use just one. For more details on all your notification options, see Notification Preferences.
Make sure your Discord privacy settings allow direct messages from server members. In Discord, go to Privacy Settings and enable Allow direct messages from server members for the Lighthouse server.
You need to link a Discord account first. Head to Settings > Discord Account to connect your account.
