Your Conversation Thread

What Is the Conversation Thread?

When you submit a message through the Contact Us form, you receive a confirmation email with a link to your conversation thread. This is a private page where you and Lighthouse staff can exchange messages back and forth -- no account required.

Finding Your Thread

Check the email inbox for the address you provided on the form. Look for a message from Lighthouse with a subject like "We received your message" or similar. It will contain a link directly to your conversation.

Keep that email -- it's the only way to get back to your thread if you need to. The link is unique to your conversation and isn't shared with anyone else.

Reading Replies

Your thread shows the full conversation in order, oldest to newest. Your messages appear in blue and staff replies appear in the lighter area below them. Each message shows who sent it and when.

Staff can leave internal notes for themselves that you won't see, so don't be surprised if there appear to be gaps -- it just means staff were coordinating behind the scenes.

Sending a Follow-Up

If your thread is still open, you'll see a Send a Reply box at the bottom of the page. Type your follow-up message and click Send Reply. Staff will be notified of your response.

You can send a follow-up any time the thread is open -- to provide more information, to ask a clarifying question, or to let staff know your issue has been resolved.

What "Closed" Means

Once your conversation is fully resolved, staff will close the thread. When that happens:

  • A notice appears at the top of the page letting you know the conversation is closed.
  • The reply box is no longer shown.
  • You can still read the full conversation history.

If you have a new question after a thread is closed, just submit a new message through the Contact Us form. Each message creates its own separate conversation.

Privacy and Security

Your conversation thread link works like a private key -- only someone with that exact link can view or reply to your conversation. Keep the email containing the link somewhere safe, and avoid sharing it publicly.

If you lose the link, there's no way to recover it without submitting a new inquiry, so it's worth keeping that confirmation email around until your question is fully answered.
