When you're a brand-new member, your Dashboard shows a setup wizard instead of the normal community content. It's a short, step-by-step guide that walks you through connecting your accounts so you're ready to participate in the community.
The wizard appears for Stowaway and Traveler members and disappears automatically once you've finished -- or if you choose to dismiss it.
When you first create an account, you'll see a Read & Accept Rules button on your Dashboard. You need to read and accept the Lighthouse Community Rules before the setup wizard begins.
Click the button to open the rules. Once you've read them, click I Have Read the Rules and Agree to Follow Them at the bottom. Your account will move to Stowaway status right away and the wizard will appear on your next visit.
If you're a younger member, your parent can also accept the rules on your behalf from the Parent Portal.
The wizard takes you through up to three steps in order:
You don't have to complete every step in one sitting. The wizard saves your progress and picks up where you left off.
On each step, you have a few choices:
When you finish the Minecraft step (or skip it), a "Welcome to Lighthouse!" screen pops up. It highlights some things you can do now that your account is set up -- like joining community discussions, opening a support ticket if you need help, or exploring community content. It also includes a link to your notification preferences so you can choose how you'd like to hear from us.
Click Get Started to close it and see your full Dashboard.
That's totally fine. Click Dismiss on any step and the wizard goes away. Everything the wizard helps you set up -- Discord linking, Minecraft linking -- is still available from your Settings anytime.
If the wizard is still active, you'll also see a Resume Account Setup link in the sidebar so you can always find your way back to it.
